Hall of Fame Chronology
- 2012: In April issue of Coin World Magazine, the Jewish-American Hall of Fame's Titanic medal, issued in 1998, is featured on the cover.
- 2012: The April issue of World Jewry Digest, features an article headed New Hall of Famer Gertrude Elion, saying “Her name ranks among the giants of medicine in the pantheon of the Jewish-American Hall of Fame (JAHF) now rightfully alongside the likes of Jonas Salk, Bela Schick and Lillian Wald.”
- 2012: Gertrude Elion Jewish-American Hall of Fame plaque unveiled at the Virginia Holocaust Museum on May 28th, in conjunction with Jewish American Heritage Month.
- 2012 On August 1, Jewish-American Hall of Fame Web Site Administration Transferred to the American Numismatic Society. Andrew Meadows, Deputy Director of the American Numismatic Society, and Mel Wacks, Director of the Jewish-American Hall of Fame, sign agreement for the ANS to “continue to maintain the amuseum.org website content for many years to come, as [long as] it is feasible to do so.” Meadows, observed that “The JAHF web site enhances the ANS mission by allowing us to reach a wider audience.” According to the agreement, “Mel Wacks will continue to update and make corrections to the web site content, and designated ANS staff or students can add content or make corrections.”
